(Chung tells the king about her father)------

Narrator: Thanking heaven, the King marries Chung as the god had said. From then on, Queen Shim's generous care for all the people brought praise. However, Chung wept deep in spite of being a Queen.

King: oh, my dear, what are you doing here?

( Chung hides the picture of her father behind her back.

King: come on, let me see what you are hiding?

Chung: It's nothing, Your Highness.

King: Ha,ha.. Is this the man that you have loved? Is this him?

Chung: No, different. Your Highness, to tell the truth, I , I was once a daughter of a blind man.

Narrator: Chung tells the King about the story that she was sold for 300 sacks of rice and threw herself into the sea called Indangsoo.

King: It must've been hard for you, very hard.

Chung: No, Your Highness.

King: I'll send a man to Dowha-dong to search for your father.

Chung: Oh, do you mean it, Your Highness?

King: You've been waiting for that, haven't you, my dear? Ha, ha, ha...

Chung: Thank you so much, Your highness.

King: Oh, dear...

Chung: Thank you.



( The King gives a feast for the blind)

Guard: Is anybody in?

Kwiduk's Mom: Who is it?

Guard: Is this wher Shim the blind lives?

Kwiduk's Mom; Well, once it was.

Guard: And what do you mean by that? Tell me.

Kwiduk's Mom: He left a couple of hours ago.

Guard: Left? To where?

Kwiduk's Mom: who knows where beggars will go?

What brought you here anyway?

Guard: I carry the King's order to return with Shim.

Kwiduk's Mom: King's orders? Shim would be the last person to be accused as a criminal.

Guard: What can I do? Where can I find him? Tell me now.

Chung: ( surprised ) He left?

King: Yes, he has.

Chung: He has no relatives. He has nowhere to go. I hope nothing bad happen to him. Oh...

King: Well, I tell you what. We will throw a feast for the blind, then your father will come.

Chung: Oh, thank you, thank you, Your Highness.



( Chung meets her father)

Guard: Hey you. Do you know what's going on here, at the palace?

Shim: Oh, I don't care. What do I care?

Guard: It's the last day of the feast held for the blind. The King wants everyone to come.(Tries to accompany shim.) Go inside.

Shim: No.

Guard: Let's go.

Shim: Oh, stop it. I don't care. I don't want to go! Just leave me alone!

Guard: Let's go. Come on.

Chung: When would be come? Is he not coming?

Shim: Oh, come on. Leave me alone. Let me go!

Guard: Get in here.

Chung: (finds Shim, surprised) Ah! (weeps for joy) Father!

Shim: Who, who dares call me father, huh? My daughter Chung threw herself into the Indangsoo sea.

Chung: Father, I'm Chung.

Shim: Chung, Chung? ( He's surprised and opens his eyes.) Am I awake? What is it, is this real, my dear... Ohh, my dear, did I just , did I open my eyes? Oh, is this real?

Chung: (crying) Yes, you did.

Shim: Oh, oh, let me look at you, my dear.

Chung: Yes, yes, that's true.

Shim: I can't believe it. You're as pretty as a fairy. Oh, look at you, oh, look at this. What a delight ! Oh, my eyesight, I can't believe it! Ohh...This is dream come true! You're so beautiful! I can't believe it! yes, ha,ha,ha....

Narrator: Chung who at last met her father gave a big feast for those who had helped her. All the people of the kingdom respected Chung for her goodness and told this beautiful story to their sons and daughters.
