[오늘의 말씀 요약]
솔로몬은 하나님이 온 우주의 하나님이신 것을 알았기에 먼 곳에서 오는 이방인들의 기도도 들어주시길 하나님께 간구합니다. 또한 이스라엘 백성이 전쟁터에 나가게 될 때나 포로로 사로잡혀 가게 될 때라도 그곳에서 성전을 향해 기도하면 응답해 주시길 간구합니다.
☞ 먼 곳에서 온 사람의 기도
41 또 주의 백성 이스라엘에 속하지 아니한 자 곧 주의 이름을 위하여 먼 지방에서 온 이방인이라도 42 저희가 주의 광대한 이름과 주의 능한 손과 주의 펴신 팔의 소문을 듣고 와서 이 전을 향하여 기도하거든 43 주는 계신 곳 하늘에서 들으시고 무릇 이방인이 주께 부르짖는 대로 이루사 땅의 만민으로 주의 이름을 알고 주의 백성 이스라엘처럼 경외하게 하옵시며 또 내가 건축한 이 전을 주의 이름으로 일컫는 줄을 알게 하옵소서
41 "As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your name-- 42 for men will hear of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm--when he comes and prays toward this temple, 43 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name.
☞ 먼 곳에서의 기도
44 주의 백성이 그 적국으로 더불어 싸우고자 하여 주의 보내신 길로 나갈 때에 저희가 주의 빼신 성과 내가 주의 이름을 위하여 건축한 전 있는 편을 향하여 여호와께 기도하거든 45 주는 하늘에서 저희의 기도와 간구를 들으시고 그 일을 돌아보옵소서
44 "When your people go to war against their enemies, wherever you send them, and when they pray to the LORD toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name, 45 then hear from heaven their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause.
46 범죄치 아니하는 사람이 없사오니 저희가 주께 범죄함으로 주께서 저희에게 진노하사 저희를 적국에게 붙이시매 적국이 저희를 사로잡아 원근을 물론하고 적국의 땅으로 끌어간 후에 47 저희가 사로잡혀 간 땅에서 스스로 깨닫고 그 사로잡은 자의 땅에서 돌이켜 주께 간구하기를 우리가 범죄하여 패역을 행하며 악을 지었나이다 하며 48 자기를 사로잡아 간 적국의 땅에서 온 마음과 온 뜻으로 주께 돌아와서 주께서 그 열조에게 주신 땅 곧 주의 빼신 성과 내가 주의 이름을 위하여 건축한 전 있는 편을 향하여 주께 기도하거든
46 "When they sin against you--for there is no one who does not sin--and you become angry with them and give them over to the enemy, who takes them captive to his own land, far away or near; 47 and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their conquerors and say, 'We have sinned, we have done wrong, we have acted wickedly'; 48 and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their enemies who took them captive, and pray to you toward the land you gave their fathers, toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name;
49 주는 계신 곳 하늘에서 저희 기도와 간구를 들으시고 저희의 일을 돌아보옵시며 50 주께 범죄한 백성을 용서하시며 주께 범한 그 모든 허물을 사하시고 저희를 사로잡아 간 자의 앞에서 저희로 불쌍히 여김을 얻게 하사 그 사람들로 저희를 불쌍히 여기게 하옵소서 51 저희는 주께서 철 풀무 같은 애굽에서 인도하여 내신 주의 백성, 주의 산업이 됨이니이다
49 then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause. 50 And forgive your people, who have sinned against you; forgive all the offenses they have committed against you, and cause their conquerors to show them mercy; 51 for they are your people and your inheritance, whom you brought out of Egypt, out of that iron-smelting furnace.
52 원컨대 주는 눈을 들어 종의 간구함과 주의 백성 이스라엘의 간구함을 보시고 무릇 주께 부르짖는 대로 들으시옵소서 53 주 여호와여 주께서 우리 조상을 애굽에서 인도하여 내실 때에 주의 종 모세로 말씀하심같이 주께서 세상 만민 가운데서 저희를 구별하여 주의 산업을 삼으셨나이다
52 "May your eyes be open to your servant's plea and to the plea of your people Israel, and may you listen to them whenever they cry out to you. 53 For you singled them out from all the nations of the world to be your own inheritance, just as you declared through your servant Moses when you, O Sovereign LORD, brought our fathers out of Egypt."
